love x 4

So, these are Jack's 7 1/2 month and Charlie's 26 1/2 month photos.
Clearly we didn't schedule the 6 month/2 year photo session.
Thankfully, my awesome friend Kim quit her day job and does photography full time,
and she can work her magic any day of the week.
Namely a Thursday evening, say 4:30 PM...leading into the witching hour.
{What were we thinking?}

Jack is wearing hand-me-downs from Charlie
with some sweet paper air plane leg warmers from B3.
Charlie is sporting his $2.50 purple Chuck's.
I have on the same sweater I wore in my maternity pics
and Mr.Wonderful's jeans have a hole in the knee.
None of this matters because we are family. The four of us. Team Hopkins.

And we did get a REALLY great shot.

I love Kim and what she does.
Heart of gold folks.
And she she can come to you.

come fly with me

All these hot air balloons are so pretty.
I am thinking about adding some hot air balloon cards to the shop
along with the others I am working on.

Have you ever ridden in a hot air balloon?
Not me, but I would like too.

Happy Monday!
March is almost over. It seems to have {flown} by for me.

CLOSED {Birthday Month Giveaway continues} BUT I am not giving you my yarn wreath...

We are all friends, right?
So I can be honest.
Back when I was brewing up ideas for my Birthday Month giveaways I thought about doing a yarn wreath.
Like me making a yarn wreath all pretty and giving it away.
But come on.
Do y'all remember when
Yeah, it took 23 days people.
Twenty THREE days to finish my wreath.
I knew not to even try.
Well, I did start on a wreath, for myself.

I have worked on it twice, once laying in bed and another time where I was in the car, the children were secure and I had nothing to do but listen to podcasts with Mr.Wonderful for an hour and a half.

So, that is why I am not giving you my yarn wreath, it sits unfinished with my supplies.

But you know what I am going to do?
I am going to make that ridiculously long explanation so wonderful.

Go ahead. Ooooh and ahhhh. {permission to drool}
I am going to give one of you a chance to win a $25 shop credit to

made by Amy...also know as the momma of Buggie and Jellybean

If you don't already know her, you are going to want to.
And if you haven't already seen what she can create...
well, you are going to want to.

So great right?
Sometimes, I go an look at the things in her shop just because I want to find a happy place.
I am serious.

Okay, now about the giveaway.

Visit Come and Knock and pick what you would spend your shop credit on.
Then come back here and leave me a comment letting me know what you would choose.

Tuesdays and pretty things

In my book, Tuesdays stink.
I think it is mainly because I ship orders out on Tuesdays.
That means I am scrambling to get paintings dried, sealed, photographed, and packaged.
AND I am taking care of these cuties.

It seems that every. single. Tuesday. both of them go bonkers on me right when I need to work on boxing my orders. Jack cries and tries to eat my packaging. Charlie tries to sneak the scissors or packing tape.
It's insanity at it's finest.

Well, yesterday in the middle of all the insanity I also wanted to take a picture of my newest pretty things from aPearantly Sew. I probably took 524 shots. I hated every one of them.
My Tuesday was not getting any better.
Then I told myself to get over it.

And I took these pictures.

The new Lindsay clutch. Yes, it is named after yours truly. And I love it.
Like I kept holding it and turning it over again and again when I got it in the mail on Monday.

And my new iPod case. Yes, I love it too.

Alison's work is amazing. Ah-may-zing. Let's be honest, Alison is pretty amazing herself.
She's a good friend, with a good sense of humor, she loves food and she's tall. I mean, what more could you want in a friend?

Go admire her pretty things and treat yourself, it will make your Tuesday or Wednesday or any day of the week much better.

meet Cici

In the fall of 2009 I connected
with the Fischer Family and "met" Cici.

My heart was touched by Cici's story and I created my first Painting with Purpose.
It's time again for Bids for Cici 50% of the proceeds from this auction go directly to Cici's special needs trust, for use for items or therapies not covered by insurance, and the other 50% of the proceeds from this auction go directly to the non-profit Ben's Bells, based in Tucson - to be earmarked for the distribution of Bells in Colorado, and for supplies to make the Bells locally in Colorado for distribution in the future.

This year I am donating these two paintings:

Please be sure to visit Bids for Cici and check out all the items they have up for bid.
The auction ends 3/28/2011.

i heart {spring} art

"...Learn from the way the wild flowers grow..."

How often we need reminding
to not worry about what we will eat or drink or wear.
I know I do.
"If God so clothes the grass of the field,
which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow,
will he not much more provide for you..."
I hope these beautiful works of art
will remind you of your beauty
and the beauty of the creation around you.

{four more days until Spring officially begins}
