How adorable is this cup? I know!
This week I'd like to introduce you to the sweet lady who created it.
When did you first begin creating pottery?
I first fell in love with the art of making pottery when I was a junior in high school. I was going through a really difficult time in my life and I loved the peace that came with working with my hands. Once I graduated from high school, I went on to take classes at a local pottery studio and 1 1/2 years later, I opened up my own home studio. I've loved it ever since.

What is your favorite/most sentimental creation you have made? Why?
My favorite item I've made is my scalloped teardrop necklace. It came about as a special order from a gal who was looking for a necklace to represent her faith journey from atheist to Christian. (You can read more about it here.) I was so honored to help represent someone's story, and I loved the piece so much that I couldn't resist turning it into a regular item in the shop.

Is there a project you've always dreamed of creating? What would it be?
I've always wanted to create a complete 10-piece dinnerware set for my family. It's time to get rid of all the mass-produced dishes and fill our cupboard with handmade! I've started the set and have all the dinner plates finished, but still have quite a bit to go. It's a struggle to find time to create for us when there are paying customers waiting for items, but I'm eager to get it finished. There's nothing like sitting down to a home cooked meal on a handmade dish.
