Note: I promise there is more on my mind than food.
12 weeks = BabyJ is the size of a lime...
So why does my tummy look larger than a lime?
Maybe it is all the Chinese and Japanese food I have been consuming...
Hmmm...could the surprise be on the scale?
The food has been good though :)
I even cooked homemade Ramen...or something like that.
Try it out:
Yakisoba Chicken
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil (olive or canola will work)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp chili paste
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts cubed
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 onion cut lengthwise
- 1/2 head cabbage chopped
- 2 carrots chopped
- soba noodles cooked & drained (didn't know what these were so I used some noodles that looked like they would be Ramen and they were delicious :)
In skillet combine oil and chili paste. Cook 30 seconds.
Add garlic, chicken, 1/4 cup of soy and cook until chicken is no longer pink.
In another pan combine onion, cabbage, carrots, and stir in remaining soy (recipe didn't say how long so I just stir fried until vegetables were tender).
Mix vegetables and chicken together and serve on top of noodles.
